Safety-Enhanced Kevlar Lower Section

The lower portion of the pole—the section you hold during use—is reinforced with an added layer of DuPont™ Kevlar® that is woven directly into the carbon-fiber structure. This reinforcement provides extra strength, an additional layer of protection, and improved resistance to the accidental bumps and drops that commonly occur on job sites. The Kevlar layer also offers an added measure of protection in the event the pole makes brief, accidental contact with an electrical source such as an overhead power line.

However, it is important to be absolutely clear that the pole’s primary material is carbon fiber, and carbon fiber conducts electricity. The Kevlar reinforcement does not make the pole safe for use near high-voltage lines or any major electrical hazards. Always maintain a safe distance from all electrical sources when using the poles.
